The Southern Illinois University Law Journal is conducting exclusive article reviews. Any article
submitted to the Law Journal between now and October 16 will be evaluated
for publication purposes by October 22nd. By submitting an article the
author agrees to immediately accept a publication offer with the Journal should
one be extended. The author is not required to withdraw
any article previously or contemporaneously submitted for consideration
elsewhere. However, the author may not accept an offer of
publication from another journal for any article submitted to
the Law Journal’s exclusive review process unless the Journal
indicates that the submitted article will not receive a publication offer.
Author requests to further expedite the exclusive review
process will be accommodated to the extent practicable. Any articles
accepted through this exclusive review process will be published in the
Journal's Winter 2017 or Spring 2017 issue.
If you have an article you would like to submit for this exclusive
review, please e-mail SIU Law Journal a copy of the article and your CV at
lawjourn@siu.edu with the subject line "Exclusive Article Review." We look

How long are the submission typically?
We prefer for submissions to be longer than 30 pages. We typically publish articles in the 30-60 page range. However, we are reviewing all submissions regardless of length so feel free to submit. We look forward to reading your work!

Hi I was wondering will we hear back only if our article was selected or will we also be notified if it was not selected? Thank you!
