Spring 2021 Symposium Issue
"International and Comparative Perspectives on Blockchain Technology: The Intersection of Law, Technology, and Governance"
Abstracts Due: October 31, 2020
This Symposium Issue seeks articles that discuss the international and comparative legal questions that arise from the use of blockchain technology and the manner in which legal systems are equipped to handle these challenges. Selected authors will have their articles published in the Spring 2021 printed edition of the California Western International Law Journal and will also be invited to present their papers at an online conference to be held in February 2021.
Authors will each be awarded an honorarium of $500 upon publication of their papers.
Authors are invited to submit a short abstract that addresses the conference theme. Authors may submit a proposal for either a short essay (between 5,000 and 10,000 words) or a longer article (between 20,000 to 30,000 words).
Each submission should include: (1) title; (2) 500-1000 word abstract; (3) name and email address of the author; and (4) curriculum vitae.
Abstracts are due by October 31, 2020 and should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief at LKGlenister@law.cwsl.edu with Blockchain Symposium Submission in the subject line. The Symposium Committee will notify authors whether their proposal has been selected by November 15, 2020.
