The Connecticut Insurance Law Journal is the world’s only academic law review dedicated exclusively to the publication of original research on the law relating to insurance, risk and responsibility. Since 2008, the Washington and Lee University’s survey of law journals ranked the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal as its top periodical for insurance law.

The Connecticut Insurance Law Journal is looking for articles, essays, comments, and notes on current insurance laws and issues. The selected papers will be published in Volume 31 set to publish by early 2025.

This issue will feature a variety of insurance-related articles. We welcome articles that discuss current and important insurance issues, or present ways in which the insurance industry can better serve all members of society. We also welcome articles highlighting emerging insurance issues, prospective insurance products, insurance and public policy,  insurance as an industry regulator, and early case law commentary.

We will feature chosen articles from a variety of lawyers, academics, insurance industry leaders, students, activists, and sociologists. Papers should generally be between 10–30 pages. After selection, the final drafts are due August 14, 2024.

Submission: To submit your paper for consideration, please send the written document (in document format, not PDF) and a copy of your CV to cilj@uconn.edu  or submit via Scholastica by August 14, 2024. Any questions or comments can be directed to cilj@uconn.edu
