We are pleased to announce the development of a special issue
Focus: Best practices in higher education that promote active learning
Submission deadline is 8/1/22 with a tentative publishing date of 9/15/22
Articles – still submitted for blind peer review
- Length should be no longer than 10 – 15 pages including references)
- May have less emphasis on empirical research and more emphasis on being practitioner based and best practice
- Must still be written using APA:
- Double spaced
- 1 in margins
- 12 pt Times New Roman font
- NO title page with authors (information entered in system at time of submission)
- No page numbers
- Proper use of headings
- Header with title only
Anticipated sections of the issue are:

II. Benefits of Active Learning (examples below)
a. How these strategies provide a window into student thinking and inform our instruction.
b. How these strategies build classroom community/culture
c. How these strategies provide an organic method of differentiation
